Anders Halverson will discuss his book, An Entirely Synthetic Fish: How Rainbow Trout Beguiled America and Overran the World. Once native only to northern California, rainbow trout have been propagated for more than 130 years and introduced worldwide, often harming native ecosystems. Halverson examines how a fish once celebrated as a conservation success is now targeted for eradication, revealing what this story says about our relationship with the natural world.
